All for Tea & Tea for all

August 10th, 2024

Moir Park 10320 Morgan Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431

At our second tea gathering, we gained two new faces and plenty of tea. Due to our limited budget, we generally pick an area and set up with hopes that we aren’t intruding on anyone else who may have reserved the space. We ran into just a slight hiccup then. Though there were no signs saying it was reserved a lady walked up and said she reserved the pavilion so we respected this and moved.

Sometimes the hardest part, besides picking the area for the gatherings, is choosing which tea to drink. Eventually, this is what we settled on:

1st Brew – Frozen Summit (Tung Ting) – Tao of Tea – Taiwan. What was once a Chinese cultivar is now a tea unique to central Taiwan. The terroir is constantly shaping the leaf making it into the delicious tea we know today.

2nd Brew – Sun Rouge – Marumo – Japan. This is a unique and rare cultivar. The leaf contains anthocyanin which can also be found in blueberries and the Kenyan cultivar TRFK306. High in antioxidants this tea is great for boosting your immune system but also has a unique color-changing property. You’ll have to join a gathering to see what it does!

3rd Red Shan – Plantrip Cha -Vietnam – Deep in the forests of Vietnam is a place known as Ban Lien. These highlands produce a tea that is as beautiful in flavor as it is in liquor color.

If you want to join the events we have them listed here.
