All for Tea & Tea for all

Chasen & PDXTeaFest

Saturday, July 18th, 10 a.m.

Galaxie Library, 14955 Galaxie Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124

This was a special session to celebrate one of our members who is moving to another state. We will miss you but hope to see you at another tea gathering in the future!

Note: If Google says the rooms are connected, don’t assume that means that they connect with a moveable divider. I’ve learned my lesson. On that note, thank you to the library for still allowing us to use the the room.

Our lesson today was on the Japanese Chasen. We learned how and how not to use the chasen and a bit on its history. I will reiterate again for everyone, bamboo chasen do not belong in anything but water and tea. No sweeteners, milk of any sort, or anything else.

This session also involved going through a box from the PDXTeaFest. My first thought was to host their live session while we had our meeting but it seemed like a bit too much noise, so I ultimately decided against it. However, everyone did have a chance to look inside the box. These virtual gatherings are a great way for people all over to come together over a shared enjoyment. For those interested in participating in the future or to further explore this festival, you can do so here: https://www.teafestpdx.com/teafestbox
