All for Tea & Tea for all

3 Post Manufacturing Processes

Saturday, May 16th, 10 a.m.

Fairy Wren Dessert & Tea Bar, 1178 Burnsville Center Suite K106, Burnsville, MN 55306

This meeting was made possible by the incredible Mrs. Lee who owns Fairy Wren. If you are south of the river near the Burnsville Mall and looking for a lovely English tea time be sure to stop by!

The focus of this session was all on post manufacturing processes. Currently there are six and we explored three of them: Blended, Scented, and Flavored. Each of these categories could truly be a class of their own.

Teas we consumed:

  1. Cold Brew Jasmine Green – Teatiff – We enjoyed this one through out the session. Tasting how it changed as it infused longer.
  2. Peach & Apricot Green – Fairy Wren. This one was delicious. She also provided us with White Chocolate Raspberry Cookies as a pairing to go with the tea!
  3. Ginseng oolong, Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse – This was a truly unique one. Instead of the typical oolong being covered in ginseng powder this one was scented with ginseng. BTW! Did you know that Marathon County, Wisconsin produces roughly 10% of the worlds ginseng?
  4. Benefuki Green – Japanese Green Tea Company. This pure tea is special for those who struggle with hay fever and other outdoor allergies.
  5. Ceylon Smoke, Rakkasan Tea Company – A unique take on Lapsang Souchong. If you’ve ever had a Lapsang you should give this one a try too because it is quite different.
  6. I think there is one I am missing but I forgot to write them down!

NEXT GATHERING:

Galaxie Library, 14955 Galaxie Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124

One of our members will be moving T_T. They will be back to visit on this date. We have chosen a location to be easiest for them to access with their busy day that day.
