Mn Tea Society + Being Tea

I forgot to take a group photo for this meeting.

Saturday, September 12th, 10 a.m.

Prior Lake Library,16210 Eagle Creek Ave SE, Prior Lake, MN 55372

This post brought to you by: Powdered Green Tea: Nozomi. Japanese Green Tea Co (I ground it myself)

There is always something to learn in life as long as you are willing and open to learn. These past nine months I’ve spent time with the Being Tea Teacher Training program. It culminated at our Saturday meeting. The first part of the meeting we discussed some future plans including: the Oct Meeting (more on that below), thoughts on the Nov meeting (Tea & Mindfulness?), and then December 4-6. What is in December? Well, I’ll be doing the Eagan Craft & Gift Show (my first 3 day craft fair) with my business, TeaTiff. But part of my space I am donating to the MN Tea Society. I’ll have my tea table there along with 4 stools for people to come sit and drink tea. Members of the MN Tea Society will also have a chance to sign up to sit and help me out by pouring tea. (We will only be allowed to bring in pre-brewed tea)

The second half of our session was our educational session and my final for the Teacher Training program. During this special class we learned about how to take Tea Notes and why they are important. I plan to offer this as a class in the future as well. I learned a lot and I think, though we all were a bit nervous at first, we had a good time.

Teas we Drank:

  1. Comfort Blend – Plum Deluxe
  2. Organic Golden Lily Oolong – Cultivate Taste
  3. Nozomi – Japanese Green Tea Co
  4. Bi Luo Chun – Harney & Sons

Please join us for a very special meeting at our first art gallery in October! Please note that if you type in just the name you will get a dance studio and not the art gallery. It is listed below for your convenience.

Next Meeting:

The Studio Project. 3338 University Ave SE, suite 340, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Located in the Art + Architecture Building. Entrance at the back of the building Sundays, openings, and events.

Lastly, I wanted to add just a bit more about Being Tea. I’ve known Sooz since 2021. I’ve attended many of her classes and she’s been an inspiration to many of my dreams. With the culmination of this class I truly see a difference between myself last year and myself this year. If you want to learn more about tea, practice mindfulness, or even take the Training Program please don’t hesitate to take a look. It’s very worth it.
