June 21st, 2025. Saturday. 10 am
Augsburg Park Library, 7100 Nicollet Ave, Richfield, MN 55423
This could be a weekend for the record books with heat indexes into the 100s. The library meeting room, however, was pleasant. Perfect temperature to get tea drunk. We began our meeting as usual with news of all board members being ‘onboard’ (bad pun?) and then passed around a box of Bing Cherry with Almond tea bags graciously donated to us by Davidson’s Organics. As I have an almond allergy, I didn’t want to risk it. When you try the tea, comment below and let us know what you think!

Our next topic and focus for the afternoon was Traveling with Tea. We discussed what was good and bad for teaware, tea, and water. Here are some highlights:
Water: Some fitness rooms have hot water connected to their tanks. Otherwise, ask the front desk for a kettle or if there is another way to get hot water. If all else fails, cold brew is always an easy way to go.
Tea: Tea bags are easiest, but you’ll have a lot less to choose from. For loose leaf, make sure to protect your tea from strong smells and breakage with proper storage.
Teaware: From super simple grandpa style to traveling tea kits that include everything but the kitchen sink. It really just depends on what tea you want to bring.
