All for Tea & Tea for all

December 14th, 2024. Saturday. 10 am – Maple Grove Library.

This meeting was full of improvisation. The library’s heater was broken but our meeting room was fine. Until we realized it was one of their meeting rooms that didn’t allow food or uncovered drinks. Fortunately, their meeting room that did allow both was available. It was quite a bit colder though. One thing that tea teaches you is to go with the flow. We had a lovely meeting and tasted delicious tea.

Nirvana—ITCC. White. Unfortunately, the pot influenced the taste. I want to try this one again with a Porcelain gaiwan.

Giang Pang – Yellow. Plantrip Cha. – This one is very unique. You can tell by the leaves that it has gone through the sweltering process but it retains some nice dark tea notes.

Rose Label – Black – Nepal Tea Collective. This company is well known for not only sourcing amazing Nepali teas but also for helping bring many of the farmers out of poverty. One such farmer has this amazing tea that has incredible rose notes and is silky smooth on the tongue.

Northern Lights – Herbal – Teasource – Our first herbal! This blend is very similar to the famous Evening in Missoula but with a few different notes. A very nice blend for any time of day.

Margaret’s Soother – Herbal – Teasource. Stuffy nose? Try this herbal blend. I think we all had clear sinuses after we finished our cups. It is a warming blend with a nice zing to it.

We hope to see you at our next meeting! Please put it on your calendar and let your friends know!
